Power 2025 U.S. Tech Experience Index Study. The 2025 EV9 received this recognition for its one-pedal driving system, which drivers report is efficient, convenient, and easy to use.
About the Award
Each year, the J.D. Power Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study recognizes automakers whose vehicles deliver technology that consumers find most effective, efficient, and satisfying. The study evaluates vehicles across 100 different types of advanced technology. Nearly 40 auto brands participate in the annual survey, and the TXI survey responses determine the winners. In 2025, the J.D. Power TXI Study reviewed more than 76,000 survey responses. Across all technology categories, J.D. Power assessed customer experience, satisfaction, and demand after owners had their vehicles for 90 days.
This year, the EV9 was singled out for its One-Pedal Driving mechanism. While one-pedal driving is not exclusive to Kia, the automaker was chosen as the TXI Study recipient for the EV9’s efficient and well-executed One-Pedal Driving system. Beyond boosting efficiency and performance, the EV9’s One-Pedal Driving system helps make the electric SUV more enjoyable and engaging. Receiving the J.D. Power TXI Study award this year highlighted the EV9 as a standout electric vehicle, and it helped Kia earn the second position among mass market auto brands for execution, innovation, and market depth.

The Kia EV9 ranks highly in the electric SUV segment. It offers three rows of seating and a spacious, tech-forward interior. The EV9 also provides generous cargo space and a smooth, comfortable ride.
