What's New For the 2020 Kia Stinger?
The 2020 Kia Stinger sedan is faster, more powerful, and luxurious than ever before. Having a sportback-style design, this updated model offers two turbocharged engines and other high-performance functions. You'll also get a handful of top safety features from the Drive Wise suite.

Which Trims & Features are Available in 2020?
The 2020 Stinger GT-Line base model has a 7-inch display with the latest UVO eServices technology. You can also make an upgrade to an 8-inch touch screen in this entry-level trim. The GT edition boasts a nine-speaker sound system with excellent acoustics. You'll get 15 speakers from Harman Kardon in the GT1 and GT2 editions.
Producing up to 720 watts, this premium audio system blasts music from HD Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. The most expensive Stinger editions also have the Sport Gauges, 7-inch Supervision Meter Cluster, and Parking Distance Warning. All Stinger models have wireless phone charging, Bluetooth, and other third-party technologies, such as Android Auto.
A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency
A twin-scroll turbocharged engine block propels the 2020 Stinger base trim. With four inline cylinders, the 2.0 L turbo engine whips out 256 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This small powertrain also has the class-exclusive Centrifugal Pendulum Absorber, which minimizes mechanical vibrations during combustion.
All other models run on a 3.3 L V6 engine with twin turbochargers. This high-performance propulsion system pumps out 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed gearbox works with both turbo engines in this sporty Kia sedan.
All models may be equipped with an all-wheel-drive system that's boosted by an electronically controlled transfer case. The V6 powertrain is compatible with the Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control technology that sharpens cornering and other maneuvers. Standard only in the GT1 and GT2 editions, the Coasting Neutral Control provides a major boost in acceleration on the highway.Â
This technology disengages the transmission system when you take your foot off the accelerator pedal. Available with the Brembo brakes and Michelin tires, this dynamic Kia sedan accelerates from 0 to 60 MPH in 4.7 seconds. You can also reach a top track speed of 167 MPH with the twin-turbo engine.
Safety Features in the Forefront
Some notable active safety features that are standard in the 2020 Stinger include the Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning. This Kia sedan also has the Lane Change Assist by default. You'll have access to other accident-mitigation amenities in the GT1 and GT2 trims, such as the Driver Attention Warning. If you don't maintain a proper handle on the steering system, the DAW will issue alerts on the dashboard.
Both trims also have the Forward Collision Warning, which gives you a notification when an accident might occur. Additionally, these high-end Stinger models offer Smart Cruise Control and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist. Both safety functions can automatically engage the brakes in high-risk situations on the road.
