What's New for the 2023 Kia Soul?

To freshen up the Soul's exterior, Kia has updated it with a new grille and revised headlights. Reshaped bumpers also help elevate the 2023 model's curb appeal. Meanwhile, the crossover's rugged-looking X-Line trim is no longer available. Kia has also dropped last year's available turbocharged engine from the lineup.

What Are the 2023 Soul Trims & Features?

The 2023 Kia Soul gives you four trim levels to pick from. Expect the budget-friendly S trim to remain a popular choice. It comes loaded with many attractive features, including an 8.0-inch touchscreen interface with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration and remote keyless entry.

A notch above the base model is the Soul LX. Not only does it elevate comfort by adding a power driver's seat with power lumbar support and dual-zone automatic climate control, but it also gains a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation. Other upgrades include a Smart Key, a wireless phone charger, and front USB charging ports.

Featuring 18-inch sport alloy wheels and more aggressive body styling, the GT-Line trim is perfect for drivers who desire a racier look. Meanwhile, sports-tuned shock absorbers take the Soul GT-Line's handling to the next stage. A black SynTex and cloth interior with red stitching further sets apart this sporty trim. Other highlights consist of a sunroof, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a chrome-tipped center exhaust. Along with the optional GT-Line Technology package comes a Harman Kardon premium sound system with pulsating LED speaker lights.

The range-topping EX trim comes loaded with even more premium amenities, including heated front seats and a dual-level cargo board.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2023 Soul Have?

Every new Soul now comes equipped with an efficient 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. It manages to churn out 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. Performance is aided by an Intelligent Variable Automatic Transmission. Look forward to enjoying a spirited drive.
