What's New for the 2018 Kia Sedona?

The Sedona did not go through too many changes as far as style or features. Kia did change a few of the available exterior colors. Silky Silver has replaced Bright Silver, Celestial Blue has replaced Midnight Sapphire, and Beachwood Pearl has been removed as a choice for the Sedona.

What features do I get with each trim?

Kia offers the Sedona in five different trim levels. The L is the standard model, and is equipped with 17" alloy wheels, body-colored outside door handles, and seven-passenger seating. The LX model is a step up from the L, giving the consumer the option to have silver-plated roof rails, leather seats, and a 3.5" OLED meter cluster. The EX offers 18" alloy wheels standard along with a windshield wiper defrost, and eight-passenger seating. The SX has standard 18" machined finish alloy wheels, an 8" audio display with navigation and a rear backup camera, and an eight-speaker Infinity audio system. The SX Limited features 19" chrome alloy wheels, chrome outside door handles, first and second row wood grain door garnish, and a leather and wood trim steering wheel. Optional equipment for the LX includes heated outside mirrors,a second and third row sunshade screen, and an illuminated glove box that can be cooled. The EX optional equipment available includes a supervision meter cluster,eight-way adjustable power driver's and passenger's seats, and an integrated memory system to remember the driver's seat preferences. The SX features optional HID headlights, Dynamic Bending Light, an acoustic windshield, and eight-passenger seating. The optional equipment for the SX Limited includes a dual sunroof, seven-passenger seating, Nappa leather seat trim, second row class lounge seats with extra leg room, and airline adjustable headrests. A rear seat entertainment system is optional on all Sedona models.

How does the 2018 Kia Sedona perform?

2018 Kia SedonaWhile all trim levels of the Kia Sedona offer plenty of power to haul people and cargo, they do not have different engines. All of the Sedona trim levels have a 24-valve, aluminum block, 3.3L V6 that produces 276 hp and 248 lb.-ft of torque. The 3.3L engine averages 18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined fuel efficiency. The engine uses direct fuel injection and has an aluminum head. The gas tank holds 21.1 gallons of fuel.

Which safety features does it have?

2018 Kia Sedona Blind-Spot DetectionAll of the trim levels of the Sedona feature almost all Kia safety equipment as standard. These features include dual front and side rail airbags, height adjustable front seat belt anchors, and speed sensing door locks. The models also include an impact-sensing door unlock, anti-lock brake system, hill start assist, and traction control system. The SX and the SX Limited trims feature a standard Vehicle Stability Management System.
